Dear Everyone on the list,
I write with great sadness the passing away of one of our
Serdangmates, Christine Hoe, on 26/9/09 night. For everyone who had contributed
towards her Cancer treatment(a total of RM30,000.00 was collected), a very big
thank you. Your contributions have given her a good fighting chance even though
she did not make it finally. They say " Man propose, God
disposes"(Manusia yang merancang, Tuhan yang menentukan) - how very
true! It was in her, the Serdang spirit of " never say die" in spite
of all the odds against her that we all should be proud of - she lived her life
well and possessed the fierce fighting spirit when Gooi & I visited her in
Melaka's Pantai Hospital during her treatment in August, 2009. She conveyed her
thanks during her last moments to one of the Serdangmates, Gooi, who was
by her bedside in UMMC in PJ on 26/9/09 night. Gooi told her he represented all
of us from Serdang and wish her well. This was what Gooi smsed me at 9.54 pm
26/9/09 - sis is barely conscious gradually ebbing into comatose... she shall
be discharged in that state tomorrow heading for mortality n meeting up with
the Lord. It is heartening n sad to watch her in the death throne grasping for
every breath...... the fragility of life... peace be upon us all. Good night bro - she passed away at 10.00 pm 26/9/09 pm
when I got a sms from her husband, Gan.
Her husband, Gan, has personally conveyed his thanks &
appreciation to you all for the tremendous amount collected in spite of the
prevailing hard economic situation.
The wake is at her home: 84K, Taman Sentosa, Bukit Baru,
Melaka. Funeral at 11 am, 30/9/09.
